And Michael’s volunteer efforts haven’t gone unnoticed. He recently received the John S. Brayton Community Service Award presented by the Bristol County Chamber of Commerce. This award pays tribute to outstanding individuals who give their time and expertise, and go above and beyond, to contribute to the local community.

Michael, who has 34 years of banking experience under his belt, finds his job at BankFive to be extremely rewarding. “I enjoy working with my fellow peers. They create an enjoyable and comfortable working environment,” he says. “Everyone is always looking out for each other, working as a team to accomplish tasks.”
His responsibilities at BankFive include managing the appraisal orders of residential and commercial properties, and reviewing them for accuracy. He also manages insurance inspections for the bank.
Michael, who resides in Somerset, has a master’s degree in managerial technology from Johnson & Wales University, as well as a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, and an associate’s degree from Bristol Community College. He is a certified residential appraiser in the states of Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
When he’s not volunteering in the community or working hard at BankFive, he enjoys vacationing in Naples, Florida, and dining on seafood. In fact, had he not pursued a career in banking, Michael says he would have loved to own his own restaurant.
