Providing financial support to our local communities while lifting up our neighbors.
At BankFive, we believe in taking positive action. In January 2011, William "Bill" R. Eccles, Jr., in his first executive order as BankFive President & CEO, announced the establishment of a charitable foundation with the Community Foundation of Southeastern Massachusetts. The foundation continued to receive bank funding until the $1 million goal was realized in 2015.
Ready to serve:
The BankFive Foundation Fund provides financial support to the local community through grants that enrich programs and services provided by organizations that serve low- and moderate-income households. The Foundation focuses on projects that support local educational youth programs, arts and culture, and community-based organizations that assist families and individuals with food insecurity. Since 2015, we have awarded grants to various organizations such as:
- East Bay Food Pantry
- Family Pantry of Cape Cod
- Massachusetts Design Art & Technology Institute (DATMA)
- My Brother's Keeper
- Watuppa Rowing Center
