The following individuals were promoted:
William N. Beauchene – promoted to First Vice President. Beauchene has more than 32 years of banking experience. His office is located in Cranston, R.I. Beauchene, who has been with BankFive for nearly four years, was formerly employed by Freedom National Bank, Greenville, R.I. He is a graduate of Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Wharton, and received a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Rhode Island. Beauchene is a member of the Rhode Island Bankers Association and the Central Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce. He is also chairman of the Woonsocket Entrepreneurial Loan Fund.
John J. Sylvia – promoted to Vice President, Controller, and Assistant Treasurer. Sylvia, who has been with BankFive for nearly two years, has more than 20 years of banking experience. He is located at the Fall River main office. Prior to joining BankFive, Sylvia worked at Taunton Federal Credit Union, Taunton. Sylvia received a master’s degree in accounting and a bachelor’s degree in management, both from Bridgewater State University, Bridgewater, Mass. He is board secretary of the Boys & Girls Club of Taunton.
Veronica Andrade – promoted to Vice President. She is a Branch Manager of two branches in Fall River. She joined BankFive in 2005 as a teller. She received an associate’s degree in business administration from Bristol Community College and is a graduate of the Massachusetts Bankers Association’s New England School for Financial Studies. Andrade volunteers at the Fall River Salvation Army soup kitchen.
Michael S. Correia – promoted to Assistant Vice President. He is an Appraisal Specialist in the Fall River office. Correia has been with BankFive for 10 years. Correia, who has 31 years of banking experience, was previously employed by FIRSTFED in Swansea, Mass. He received a master’s degree in managerial technology from Johnson & Wales University, Providence, R.I., and a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. He also received an associate’s degree from Bristol Community College, Fall River. Correia is a member of the Massachusetts Board of Real Estate Appraisers. He also volunteers with Junior Achievement of Greater Fall River and United Way Greater Fall River, and is a member of Somerset Lions Club.
David R. Croteau – promoted to Assistant Vice President, Manager, Business Analysis in the Fall River office. He has been with BankFive for 4 years. A graduate of Bridgewater State College with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, and an associate’s degree in Computer Information Systems from Bristol Community College, Mr. Croteau held several computer analyst positions in the medical/pharmaceutical field prior to joining BankFive.
Kristen Carvalho – promoted to Banking Officer. Carvalho, who is an AAP ACH/RDC Supervisor, has been with BankFive for 16 years. Her office is located in Fall River. She received an associate’s degree in liberal arts from Bristol Community College, and holds AAP certification.
Deirdre M. Jannerelli – promoted to Banking Officer. Jannerelli is a Digital Marketing Manager who works in the Fall River office. She has been with BankFive for one year. She previously was employed at Working Planet Marketing Group in Providence, R.I. Jannerelli received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Rhode Island.
Tracy L. Rogers – promoted to Banking Officer. Rogers, who has been with BankFive for 15 years, is Assistant Collections Manager. Rogers has 21 years of banking experience. She previously had worked at St. Anne’s Credit Union, Fall River and SJB Federal Credit Union, Fall River. She is involved as a volunteer with the American Diabetes Association and the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Luke Lehman – promoted to Banking Officer. Leham is a Commercial Portfolio Manager in the Fall River office. He has been with BankFive for seven years. He received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Lehman is a member of the New England Risk Management Association and the Massachusetts Bankers Association. He is also involved with the United Way of Greater New Bedford and Junior Achievement of Southeastern Massachusetts.
