BankFive announced today that it has earmarked $30,000 for the Lloyd Center for the Environment for its facilities renovation/expansion campaign.
The Lloyd Center for the Environment has been providing highly regarded research-based environmental education programs for students and residents of the Greater Fall River/Greater New Bedford region and beyond for more than 30 years.
The Lloyd Center recently launched its first-ever capital campaign, entitled “Transforming A Legacy,” in order to raise $3 million for upgrading buildings and grounds and for program support and endowment. Projects being pursued include a new Welcome Center, expansion of the Exploration Center, and a new Teaching Pavilion.
“The Lloyd Center for the Environment truly is a legacy in our community, and we at BankFive are glad to lend our financial support to keep this legacy alive and growing,” said William R. “Bill” Eccles, President and CEO of BankFive. “We wish the Lloyd Center the best in meeting and hopefully exceeding its campaign goal.”
