BankFive announced today that it has hired banking veteran Gregory R. Cambio as Vice President of Residential Lending. He will be working out of the Main Street office in Fall River.
Cambio, who has been in the banking industry for more than 30 years, is responsible for BankFive’s residential lending activities and associated risk management, as well as the sale of mortgage-backed securities in the secondary market.
Prior to joining BankFive, Cambio held management positions at several financial institutions. He was Vice President of underwriting operations at Shamrock Financial Corporation; Vice President and Northeast Regional Underwriting Manager at Chemical Residential Mortgage (now Chase Manhattan Mortgage); Assistant Vice President at Homestar Mortgage; and Sales Manager at First Choice Mortgage.
Cambio attended Rhode Island College and has several underwriting certifications. He is a member of the Rhode Island Mortgage Banking Association and the Massachusetts Mortgage Banking Association. He volunteers with Worldwide Marriage Encounter, Secret Angels Society, and various church organizations
His hobbies include performing as a professional saxophonist.
